For Arla Foods' first office in Hong Kong, our client wanted a bright, open space that encourages communication and collaboration between employees. Efficiency played an overriding role in our design and fittings: LED light panels from Lucibel provide a warm, consistent light source while using 50% less power than fluorescent fixtures; bench-style workstations from Steelcase offer 30% more effective use of space compared to traditional cubicle settings; integrating the pantry into the office area eliminates unnecessary doors and cooridors.
The primary feature of this office is a spacious, central, multi-purpose collaboration space. Public and private spaces blend together, lightening the mood for visitors and encouraging staff interaction and communication.
Low dividing partitions and clean white finishes ensure that everyone in the office area enjoys as much natural light as possible. Lexicon workstations and Think task chairs were selected for their ergonomic benefits and value proposition.
An additional smaller meeting room accommodates guests and private interviews. When out-of-town visitors arrive, the space can be converted into an ad-hoc workspace for flexibility.
A medium-sized conference room occupies a window-side corner space, offering natural light and a convenient location for regular video conferencing with our client's Eurpean headquarters.
