Interspace designed and built the first Hong Kong office for US-based Ruckus Wireless in trendy Causeway Bay. Our mandate for the design was: clean, simple, with splashes of the Ruckus corporate colors. Occupying half-a-floor in 18 Hysan (just across from Lee Gardens), Ruckus's new office enjoys commanding views over Hysan Avenue and Sunning Plaza, with excellent public transporation connections within a 2 minute walk.
Main Conference Room
The main conference room and adjoining product demonstration room can be easily combined by dismounting an intermediate operable wall, allowing the space to accommodate 12-14 people. A colorful backdrop and accented pillar suggest youthful ingenuity and share design cues with Ruckus's corporate HQ.
Private Meeting Room
A smaller private meeting room is situated adjacent to the main office area, encouraging frequent use by the engineering staff for their group discussions.
Staff Workstations
The general office area enjoys huge amounts of natural light, with wrap-around windows on two sides and glass partitions on a third! Orange accent panels are a visual cue to indicate walkways, while gray panels frame the staff workspaces.
Private Director's Room
The corner space in the office area is reserved for the Director's room, with a color-accented pillar adding a spark of creativity and keeping the mood light. From this vantage point, the Director can observe the entire office area.
Tidy Pantry
Smart, tidy, and functional - a centrally located pantry includes all necessary amenities for the Ruckus team and their guests, including an integrated water filtration system, avoiding the need to waste precious storage space for bottled water.
