Just inside a non-descript commercial tower in the Eastern District of Hong Kong lies the headquarters of a precocious design and build firm, known as Interspace. In our second renovation of this space, we created an open plan studio with high tech facilities, collaborative spaces, and entertainment resources for our team to inspire everyone to keep performing at the top of their games!
The main showpiece of our unique studio: our Magic Logo Wall. A multi-part construction method literally opens a window through "Interspace" allowing visitors to peek through into the inner workings of our company. Proof that we take branding very seriously in all our projects -- even our own!
Our main studio employs an open concept design with bench style seating using low acrylic dividers and a fully open ceiling with epoxy concrete flooring. Bi-directional LED panels are used to illuminate the space with warm ambient light while maintaining maximum energy efficiency.
The most popular part of our studio is the relaxation zone at the back of the office. This area features an open pantry concept with built-in appliances, water filtration system, and an engineered stone countertop and sink. The highlight of the space is a real pinball machine, set on free play for staff enjoyment!
A huge material library and creative space takes up the rear of our studio. Integrated storage nooks maximize the efficiency of this area, while improving organization for easier research work. Movable storage cabinets roll out to become a platform for creation, while a hidden IT closet houses our technology hub.
Adjacent to the entrance is our Discussion Room. This space includes acoustically backed fabric panels (using "Snap Lock" rails), dry erase painted walls, and is the only part of our space with carpet (to improve acoustics when the dividing glass panels are closed).
